A Huawei IdeaHub is an all-in-one collaboration display that combines a 4K touch screen, a conference camera, microphones, speakers, wireless projection and a digital whiteboard. The IdeaHub B2, for example, has a 3840 × 2160 screen with 20 touch points, a 4K camera and 6 microphones with 10 m pickup.

This suits rooms where visitors and staff use different meeting platforms, because the panel does not need each platform installed.

The IdeaHub B2 supports wireless projection through the IdeaShare app, the plug-in IdeaShare Key and, on Huawei phones, NFC or the drop-down menu. Wireless projection reaches up to 4K at 30 fps.

For the most stable picture, use an HDMI or USB-C cable, which supports up to 4K at 60 fps. The IdeaShare app works on Android, Windows, iOS and macOS clients, with annotation and reverse control during projection.

Yes, with an optional OPS computer. The IdeaHub B2 runs Android 9 on a 4-core processor with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, and Windows 10 when an OPS plug-in computer is fitted to its 80-pin OPS slot.

A Windows OPS suits rooms that run Windows meeting software or company desktop applications on the panel itself.

The IdeaHub B2 has a built-in 4K camera with a 1.5 μm industrial-grade image sensor, an F/1.8 aperture and a maximum view of 80° horizontally and 50° vertically, with 2x digital zoom.

Huawei states TV distortion below 2% and a circulating heat-dissipation design that keeps resolution consistent in long meetings.

The IdeaHub B2 has 2 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI output, USB-C and 3 USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB Type-B port for touch, an RJ45 network port, a COM port, 3.5 mm line in and line out, and an 80-pin OPS slot.

Scanning the QR code lets participants take the notes to a phone or tablet at the end of the meeting.

Huawei makes the IdeaHub B2 in 65, 75 and 86 inches. The 65-inch IHB2-65PU measures 1484.5 × 91.6 × 916.1 mm and the 75-inch IHB2-75PU measures 1705.7 × 91.8 × 1040.5 mm.

All sizes share the same 4K screen, camera, 6-microphone array and 30 W speakers, so choose the size by room depth and table length.

Mount the IdeaHub at the end of the table, centred on the seats, with the built-in camera close to eye level for seated participants. The B2's 6 microphones pick up voices up to 10 m away across a 180° angle, so place the panel within that distance of the furthest seat.

Use a wall mount or floor stand rated for the panel's weight, and keep the screen away from facing windows to limit glare.
