Mobile carts and stands for displays and interactive boards
A mobile cart or stand carries a display on a wheeled floor base, so the screen can move between rooms or stand where a wall cannot take fixings. This collection holds VSYS TV carts for 37-inch to 120-inch screens with load ratings from 45 kg to 150 kg, including motorised and crank-adjusted models, plus stands made by display brands for their own interactive boards, such as Logitech, Clevertouch, OneScreen, Dahua, SMART and Microsoft.
A cart is the flexible option; a wall mount is the permanent one. If the screen will stay in one place on a solid wall, a bracket from TV & Display Wall Mounts takes less floor space. For large touch screens that teachers and teams write on, compare the boards in Interactive Panels first, then choose a stand rated for their weight.
How to choose a mobile TV cart
Load rating and VESA pattern
Check the display's weight and VESA pattern against the cart. The VSYS VTL-1042T carries 45 kg on patterns up to 600 × 400 mm, the VSYS VFS44-46TW 50 kg, and the VSYS VTLS17-46TW 70 kg. For 60-inch to 100-inch screens, the VSYS VFS44-610TW carries 100 kg and the VSYS VTLX17-610TW 120 kg on patterns up to 1000 × 600 mm, and the VSYS VTL-1035LE is rated for 150 kg.
Height adjustment: fixed, crank or motorised
Carts set the screen height in different ways. The VSYS VTLX16-69FW has four fixed positions from 1150 mm to 1525 mm. The VSYS VTLS17-46TW telescopes over 450 mm, from 1120 mm to 1570 mm, and the VTLS17H-46TW, also for 37-inch to 70-inch screens up to 70 kg, is raised with a crank handle. The VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lifts a 120 kg screen by motor from 1200 mm to 1650 mm, controlled by RF remote or buttons and certified CE, FCC, ErP and AS/NZS, which suits boards used by both seated and standing users.
Portrait rotation and shelves
Some carts rotate the screen between landscape and portrait, which suits wayfinding and retail content. The VSYS VTLS17-46TW, VTLS12-46TW and VTLS11-46TW rotate from 0° to 90° for 37-inch to 70-inch screens up to 70 kg, and the VFS44-46TW for 37-inch to 86-inch screens up to 50 kg. Most VSYS carts also have a camera shelf rated for 5 kg above or below the screen and an equipment shelf for a laptop or small media player, so a video bar can travel with the display.
Stability, mobility and cables
Base, castors and slope tests
A tall cart with a heavy screen must stay stable when it is pushed over thresholds. VSYS tests several carts, including the VTLS17-46TW, VTLX17-610TW and VTLX18H-610TW, on a 10° slope, and its strength tests run from three to four times the rated load, for example 480 kg static for the 120 kg VTLX18H-610TW. Lock the castors whenever the cart is in use.
Power and cable management
A cart needs a tidy path for power and signal cables so they do not snag while moving. The VSYS VTLS11-46TW has an enclosed compartment for a power strip, the VTLS17-46TW and VTLS17H-46TW have a pegboard storage panel, and the VTLX12-610TW routes cables through its column. Carts without a channel, such as the VTL-1035LE, run cables along the outside of the column.
Where mobile carts and stands are used
Schools and training centres move interactive boards between classrooms and halls; see Education & Training Spaces. Offices use carts to bring a display and video bar into rooms without fixed equipment, built from the kits in Video Conferencing Kits, and to set up temporary meeting spaces in Boardrooms & Meeting Rooms. Hotels and event venues in the UAE use carts to move screens between ballrooms and meeting suites, where floor finishes and door thresholds make lockable castors and a low centre of gravity important.
Installation and planning
A cart is assembled once and then moved many times, so plan where it will travel as well as where it will stand. Before ordering, check:
- Display data: weight, VESA pattern and whether portrait use is approved by the display maker.
- Route: door widths, lifts and thresholds between the rooms the cart will serve.
- Height: the screen centre height for seated meetings, standing use or children's classrooms.
The VSYS range covers fixed-height, telescopic, crank and motorised carts in steel and aluminium, from 45 kg to 150 kg. VSYS strength-tests most of these carts to three or four times their rated load.
Mobile carts by screen size and load
The VSYS carts in this collection fall into three groups by screen size.
- 37 to 86 inches, 45 kg to 70 kg: VSYS VFS44-46TW (50 kg, VESA to 600 × 400 mm, 1200 mm to 1600 mm, 4x tested) and VSYS VTLS17-46TW (70 kg, 1120 mm to 1570 mm, portrait rotation, 4x tested).
- 55 to 100 inches, 100 kg to 120 kg: VSYS VFS44-610TW (100 kg, VESA to 1000 × 600 mm, 1200 mm to 1600 mm, 3x tested) and VSYS VTLX18H-610TW (120 kg, motorised 1200 mm to 1650 mm, 4x tested).
- Heaviest screens, 120 kg to 150 kg: VSYS VTLX17-610TW (120 kg, telescopic 1180 mm to 1630 mm, 3x tested) and VSYS VTL-1035LE (150 kg, VESA to 1000 × 600 mm, five heights from 1140 mm to 1530 mm).
The collection also lists brand stands for specific boards, including the Logitech Rally Board 65 cart, Clevertouch CleverMobile, OneScreen and Dahua stands. CorporateAV.ae is an authorised dealer of Logitech, Clevertouch, OneScreen and Dahua in the UAE. Use Request a Project Quote with the display model and where the cart will be used.
