TV and display wall mounts for offices and public spaces

A TV or display wall mount fixes one screen to a wall on its VESA mounting holes, either flat, tilted or on a moving arm. This collection covers fixed, tilting, extend-out, full-motion, motorised and push-pull wall mounts, led by the VSYS range for screens from 23 inches to 120 inches with load ratings from 30 kg to 130 kg, alongside brand-specific mounts from LG, Samsung, Logitech, Elo, Newline and Prestigio.

A wall mount suits one screen in a fixed position. If several panels must form one image, the precision and front service of Video Wall Mounts are needed instead. If the screen has to move between rooms or the wall cannot take fixings, a stand from Mobile Carts & Stands is the better choice.

How to choose a TV wall mount

VESA pattern and weight

Two numbers from the display's datasheet decide the mount: the VESA hole pattern and the weight. The VSYS VS01E-44F fits patterns up to 400 × 400 mm and 45 kg, the VSYS VS01A-46F up to 600 × 400 mm and 80 kg, and the VSYS VS01A-69F up to 900 × 600 mm on a 974 × 602 mm maximum hole spread and 120 kg. The mount's VESA range must include the display's pattern, and its rating must exceed the display's weight.

Screen size range

Manufacturers quote a screen size range for each mount, such as 37 to 86 inches for the VSYS VS01A-46F and 60 to 120 inches for the VSYS VS01A-69F and VS01A-69T. Treat the size as a guide only. Two displays of the same diagonal can differ in weight and VESA pattern, so a commercial 86-inch display may need a heavier mount than an 86-inch consumer television.

Fixed, tilt or full motion

A fixed mount holds the screen closest to the wall, 20 mm on the VSYS VS01E-46F. A tilting mount angles a high screen down to the viewer, ±10° on the VSYS VS01A-46T. A full-motion arm pulls the screen out and turns it toward different seats: the VSYS VS02US-464 extends from 19.5 mm to 250 mm and swivels ±30°, and the VSYS VS02D-696 extends from 75 mm to 703 mm for screens up to 120 kg.

Wall construction and fixing

Solid walls and stud walls

VSYS rates its VS01A fixed and tilt mounts, the VS03P-610T extend-out mount and the VS02D-696 arm for solid walls or double studs at 406 mm, 450 mm or 600 mm spacing. The motorised VCM-M06 takes a solid wall or a single stud, and the VSVW13 push-pull models need a solid wall. Full-motion arms put the most leverage on the wall, because the screen's weight acts further out from the fixings when the arm is extended.

Profile depth and cable access

The standoff from the wall decides how much room there is for plugs and cables behind the screen. Fixed mounts give 20 mm to 35 mm, the VSYS VS01XL-810T tilt mount gives 120 mm, and the VSYS VS03P-610T extends from 53 mm to 172 mm to reach the display's inputs during service. Plan a recessed power and signal box where a slim profile matters.

Where TV wall mounts are used

Meeting rooms and boardrooms mount a display at the head of the table, often with a video bar attached above or below it; see Boardrooms & Meeting Rooms. Receptions, retail and hospitality use fixed or tilting mounts for the screens in Digital Signage Displays, and classrooms use heavy push-pull mounts such as the VSYS VSVW13-610T, rated 130 kg, for the large boards in Interactive Panels. In UAE buildings, many interior walls are drywall partitions, so confirm the wall type before choosing a mount.

Installation and planning

A wall mount is chosen with the display, the wall and the viewing position together. Before installation, check:

  • Display data: VESA pattern, weight and whether the screen is curved.
  • Wall: solid masonry or stud spacing, and what lies inside the wall where it will be drilled.
  • Height and angle: the screen centre height for seated or standing viewers, and any tilt needed.

For wall mounting, the VSYS range covers fixed, tilt, extend-out, full-motion, motorised and push-pull mounts in this collection, from 30 kg to 130 kg. VSYS strength-tests its VS01A, VS01E and VS03P-610T mounts to four times their rated load and most of its full-motion arms to three times, and the VS01A-69F, VS01A-69T, VS01XL-810T and VS03P-610T are UL listed.

TV wall mounts by movement

The VSYS mounts in this collection fall into three groups by how the screen moves.

  • Fixed: VSYS VS01A-46F (37 to 86 inch, 80 kg, VESA to 600 × 400 mm, 30 mm) and VSYS VS01A-69F (60 to 120 inch, 120 kg, VESA to 900 × 600 mm, 35 mm, UL listed).
  • Tilt and extend-out: VSYS VS01A-69T (60 to 120 inch, 120 kg, ±10°, 80 mm, UL listed) and VSYS VS03P-610T (55 to 105 inch, 80 kg, VESA to 1000 × 600 mm, 53 mm to 172 mm, +10° to -15° tilt, ±10° swivel).
  • Full motion: VSYS VS02US-464 (43 to 90 inch, 50 kg, 19.5 mm to 250 mm, ±30°) and VSYS VS02D-696 (60 to 120 inch, 120 kg, 75 mm to 703 mm, ±60°).

The collection also lists slim mounts made by LG and Samsung for their own televisions, Logitech mounts for Rally video bars, and Elo, Newline and Prestigio mounts for their own and universal screens. Applications and technical planning

  • Meeting room displays

Meeting rooms mount one or two displays at the head of the table, often with a video bar attached. Match the mount to the display's VESA pattern and weight, and leave space for the video bar's bracket.

  • Reception and retail screens

Reception and retail screens are usually fixed or tilted slightly downward above head height. A slim fixed mount keeps the screen 20 mm to 35 mm from the wall for a clean look.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which wall mount fits my TV or display?

Match two figures from the display's datasheet: the VESA hole pattern and the weight. The mount's VESA range must include the display's pattern, and its load rating must exceed the display's weight.

For example, the VSYS VS01A-46F fits patterns up to 600 × 400 mm and holds 80 kg, and the VSYS VS01A-69F fits patterns up to 900 × 600 mm and holds 120 kg. Treat the screen size range as a guide only.

What is the difference between a fixed, tilt and full-motion TV mount?

A fixed mount holds the screen flat and closest to the wall; a tilting mount angles it up or down; a full-motion mount puts it on an arm that pulls out and swivels. The VSYS VS01E-46F sits 20 mm from the wall, the VSYS VS01A-46T tilts ±10°, and the VSYS VS02D-696 extends from 75 mm to 703 mm and swivels ±60°.

Choose fixed for eye-level screens, tilt for high screens and full motion where viewers sit at different angles.

Which wall mount holds a 98-inch or larger display?

A large display needs a mount rated for its weight and wide VESA pattern. The VSYS VS01A-69F fixed and VS01A-69T tilting mounts are rated for 60 to 120-inch displays and 120 kg, with a maximum hole spread of about 970 × 600 mm, and the VSYS VS02D-696 full-motion arm also holds 120 kg.

For interactive displays that need front service access, the VSYS VSVW13-610T push-pull mount is rated for 130 kg on patterns up to 1000 × 600 mm.

Can a TV wall mount be fixed to drywall or a stud wall?

Some can, if the fixings go into the studs. VSYS rates its VS01A fixed and tilt mounts, the VS03P-610T extend-out mount and the VS02D-696 full-motion arm for solid walls or double studs at 406 mm, 450 mm or 600 mm spacing.

The VSYS VSVW13-46T and VSVW13-610T push-pull mounts are for solid walls only. Never fix a heavy display to plasterboard alone; if the studs do not line up, add a backing board or use a floor stand.

How far from the wall does a TV sit on a wall mount?

A TV sits 20 mm to 250 mm from the wall, depending on the mount type. Fixed mounts such as the VSYS VS01E-46F and VS01A-46F sit 20 mm and 30 mm from the wall, tilting mounts 60 mm to 120 mm, and full-motion arms extend further: the VSYS VS02US-464 from 19.5 mm to 250 mm.

Add the display's own depth to find how far the screen stands out, and leave room behind it for plugs and cables.

How much tilt does a tilting TV mount give?

The tilting mounts in this collection give 10° to 15° of movement each way. The VSYS VS01A-46T and VS01A-69T tilt +10° to -10° without tools, the VSYS VS01XL-810T tilts ±15°, and the VSYS VS03P-610T tilts +10° to -15° and also swivels ±10°.

A downward tilt of a few degrees reduces glare and keeps a screen mounted above head height readable for seated viewers.

Are VSYS wall mounts strength-tested?

Yes. VSYS states that its VS01A fixed and tilt mounts and the VS01XL-810T are tested to four times their rated load, so the 80 kg VS01A-46F is tested to 320 kg. The VS01A-69F, VS01A-69T, VS01XL-810T and VS03P-610T are also UL listed.

The VS02D-696, VS02SE-466 and VS02E-443 full-motion arms and the motorised VCM-M06 are tested to three times their rating, and the ultra-slim VS02US-464 to four times.

Can I use a wall mount from a different brand than my TV?

Yes, if the VESA pattern and weight match. Universal mounts such as the VSYS range fit any display with a standard VESA pattern inside their range, while brand mounts such as the LG and Samsung slim mounts in this collection are designed for that maker's own televisions.

Check the display's manual for any recommended mount, screw size and minimum spacer depth before choosing.

Is there a motorised TV wall mount?

Yes. The VSYS VCM-M06 is a motorised wall mount that swings the screen through 0° to 170° by RF remote, for 32 to 75-inch displays up to 50 kg on VESA patterns up to 600 × 400 mm.

It sits 56 mm from the wall when closed and extends from 775 mm to 1220 mm, with programmable positions, collision avoidance, a 100 to 240 V AC supply and CE and FCC certification, which suits rooms where one screen must face different areas.

What information is needed to choose a TV wall mount for a project?

Five facts decide the mount: the display model with its VESA pattern and weight; the wall construction and stud spacing; the screen centre height; the movement needed (fixed, tilt or full motion); and where power and signal cables will enter.

With these, the mount can be matched, for example a VSYS VS01A-69T for a 120 kg display mounted above eye level that needs ±10° of tilt.
