Overview
What is the Bose FreeSpace FS2C?
The Bose FreeSpace FS2C is a compact in-ceiling loudspeaker with a 2.25 inch (57 mm) driver, 16 W continuous power handling and 70 V / 100 V transformer taps, sold as a pair in black. It covers 150° and fits a 160 mm ceiling cutout, for background music and voice announcements in offices, retail stores and hospitality spaces across the UAE. It is certified to EN 54-24:2008 for voice alarm systems in buildings.
The Bose FreeSpace FS2C is the compact in-ceiling model of the Bose Professional FreeSpace FS loudspeaker line, built for background music and paging in commercial spaces. It has a 2.25 inch full-range driver, a frequency range of 83 Hz to 19 kHz and 150° coverage, and it connects to 70 V / 100 V distributed systems or directly at 16 Ω.
Why this product
Key Benefits
-
Shared FreeSpace FS voicing
The FS2C shares its voicing with every FreeSpace FS model, so tonal quality stays consistent when it is combined with larger FS speakers in the same system.
-
Clear voice and smooth music
The 2.25 inch full-range transducer is tuned for intelligible announcements and smooth background music response.
-
Wide 150° coverage
A 150° horizontal and vertical coverage pattern spreads sound evenly, so fewer speakers are needed to cover a space.
-
Flexible transformer taps
Taps at 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 W on 70 V lines and 2, 4, 8 and 16 W on 100 V lines, plus a 16 Ω bypass, let each speaker be set to the level its area needs.
-
Quick installation
Two mounting arms, a front-baffle Euroblock input and a cutout template make fitting into a 160 mm hole straightforward, and a safety cable point is built in.
-
Voice alarm and plenum ready
The FS2C is certified to EN 54-24:2008 for voice alarm systems and is suitable for plenum spaces in compliance with UL 2043.
-
Paintable modern enclosure
The engineered-plastics baffle with steel backcan has a rotatable, removable logo, and the current UL 1480A version can be painted to match the ceiling.
