What is the Bose FreeSpace FS2SE?
The Bose FreeSpace FS2SE is a compact surface-mount loudspeaker with a 2.25 inch (57 mm) driver, 16 W continuous power handling and 70 V / 100 V transformer taps, sold as a pair in white. It is IP55 rated for indoor and outdoor wet locations and covers 145° horizontally, for background music and announcements in shops, restaurants, terraces and offices across the UAE. It is certified to EN 54-24:2008 for voice alarm systems in buildings.
The Bose FreeSpace FS2SE is the compact surface-mount model of the Bose Professional FreeSpace FS loudspeaker line, for background music and paging where there is no ceiling void. It has a 2.25 inch full-range driver, a frequency range of 83 Hz to 19 kHz, an IP55 enclosure and a U-bracket, and it connects to 70 V / 100 V distributed systems or directly at 16 Ω.

Recommended Amplifiers
For a single zone, the Bose Veritas 1100BH delivers 1 × 100 W at 70 V or 100 V and has built-in EQ presets for FreeSpace FS loudspeakers. Bose recommends it for FreeSpace loudspeakers up to 6 inch models.
For two zones or more speakers, the Bose Veritas 2160BH delivers 2 × 160 W at 70 V or 100 V and the same FreeSpace FS preset. Both Veritas models have a Bluetooth 5.0 input and are available in 230 V UK versions. Select the preset for the exact FS2C loudspeaker model during commissioning.
Recommended Bracket
The FS2SE ships with a U-bracket for wall or ceiling surface mounting. For an adjustable aiming angle, Bose lists the Bose Surface-Mount Pan and Tilt Bracket, White as an optional accessory; on the current FS2SE it threads into the included U-bracket.
For poles, Bose lists the Bose Pole Mount Bracket, White, and for hanging from a ceiling, the Bose CMB S2 Ceiling Mount Bracket, White.
Recommended Grille
Bose lists the Bose FreeSpace FS2SE Aluminum Grille (1 pair), White as an optional accessory for the FS2SE. It is not included with the speakers; the standard grille is perforated, powder-coated steel.
Installation
On the current FS2SE version, the threaded attachment points for optional mounts such as the Bose pan-tilt bracket are on the included U-bracket, so the U-bracket must be used with those mounts. Fit the weather-resistant input covers for outdoor or wet locations.

The FS2SE can be mixed with FreeSpace FS in-ceiling and pendant models on the same distributed line, and DesignMax subwoofers or the Bose MB210-WR outdoor subwoofer can be added for extra low-frequency output. Shared FS voicing keeps the sound consistent across models.
