Barco ClickShare C-10 wireless presentation

The Barco ClickShare C-10 is a wireless presentation system: a base unit connects to the room display, and people share their screen with one click on a ClickShare Button or from the ClickShare App. It outputs 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz, shows up to 2 sources on screen at the same time, and supports AirPlay and Google Cast for phones and tablets. This collection lists the ClickShare C-10 Gen2 with 1 Button.

The C-10 shares content to the display; it does not give a laptop access to the room's camera, microphones or speakers (Barco lists no Room Dock peripheral support). For wireless sharing in other formats, compare Wireless Presentation & Screen Sharing; for rooms that run video calls, see Video Conferencing Kits.

How to choose a ClickShare C-10 setup

Button or app

The ClickShare Button plugs into a Windows or Mac laptop and starts sharing with one press, which suits visitors and occasional users. The ClickShare App works on laptops (Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later) and on phones and tablets (Android 9 or later, iOS 12 or later). Phones can also share through AirPlay or Google Cast without the app; Miracast depends on configuration and firmware.

Two sources and interactivity

Up to 2 people can share at once, side by side on the display. With a touch display connected, the C-10 supports touchback, annotation and blackboarding on a 4K canvas, so a presenter can mark up content or write on a blank board from the screen.

One or two Buttons

Barco sells the C-10 Gen2 with one ClickShare Button or with two. One Button suits a small room with a regular presenter plus app users; two Buttons let two laptop users share without installing anything. Extra users can always join through the app or native protocols, within the limit of 2 sources on screen.

Network, security and management

Network and reach

The base unit has 1 Gbit Ethernet and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 a/g/n/ac) on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and the Button reaches up to 30 m (100 ft) from the base unit. Barco recommends at least an Intel i3 dual-core or AMD Ryzen 7 laptop with 8 GB RAM for a smooth experience with Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Security and cloud management

In standalone mode the C-10 uses WPA2-PSK; in network integration mode the ClickShare Button can authenticate with WPA2-PSK or IEEE 802.1X. Fleets are managed and monitored through Barco XMS Cloud, and a Kensington lock slot protects the base unit against theft.

Where the ClickShare C-10 fits

The C-10 suits huddle spaces, small and medium meeting rooms, training rooms and guest presentation areas, where people bring their own laptops and need to share quickly without cables. Barco states it can work standalone or alongside a Microsoft Teams Room or Zoom Room, where the room system handles the call and the C-10 handles wireless sharing; see Boardrooms & Meeting Rooms for complete room solutions. The base unit is rated for 0 °C to 40 °C, which suits air-conditioned offices in the UAE.

Installation and setup

The base unit measures 34 × 135 × 135 mm and weighs 900 g, small enough for a table or shelf near the display. Before installing, check:

Frequently asked questions

What is the Barco ClickShare C-10?

The Barco ClickShare C-10 is a wireless presentation system that lets people share a laptop, phone or tablet screen to a meeting-room display without cables. A base unit connects to the display over HDMI and outputs 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz.

Users share with one press on a ClickShare Button, through the ClickShare App, or from phones and tablets with AirPlay or Google Cast. Up to 2 sources can appear on screen at the same time.

Can the ClickShare C-10 use the room camera and microphones for video calls?

No. The ClickShare C-10 shares screen content to the display, but Barco lists no Room Dock peripheral support, so a laptop cannot use the room's camera, microphones or speakers through it.

For wireless access to room cameras and audio, Barco offers its ClickShare CX conferencing range, and room systems in Video Conferencing Kits handle calls directly. The C-10 can sit alongside those systems for content sharing.

What is the difference between the ClickShare C-10 and the ClickShare CX-20 or CX-30?

The ClickShare C-10 is for wireless presentation, while Barco positions the ClickShare CX-20 and CX-30 as wireless conferencing systems for small and medium meeting rooms. The practical difference is peripheral access: the C-10 has no Room Dock support for room cameras and microphones.

Choose the C-10 when the room needs fast screen sharing, and a conferencing model when laptops must also run video calls through the room's camera and audio.

Do I need the ClickShare Button, or can I use the app?

Either works. The ClickShare Button plugs into a Windows or Mac laptop and starts sharing with one press, with nothing to install, which suits guests. The ClickShare App runs on Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later, Android 9 or later and iOS 12 or later.

The ClickShare C-10 Gen2 is sold with one or two Buttons, and further users can join through the app or AirPlay and Google Cast, up to 2 sources on screen.

Can guests share from a phone without installing anything?

Yes, on most phones and tablets. The ClickShare C-10 supports AirPlay for Apple devices and Google Cast for Android and Chrome devices, so guests can share without installing the ClickShare App. Barco notes that Miracast support depends on configuration and firmware.

Guests still need to reach the C-10 over the network chosen by IT, so check the guest access arrangement before the meeting.

What display connection does the ClickShare C-10 need?

The ClickShare C-10 connects to the display with HDMI 1.4b, and the Gen2 can also use USB-C with DisplayPort 1.2. It outputs 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz and sends audio over HDMI.

Plan a free input on the room display and set the display to that input, so shared content appears as soon as someone presses the Button.

What network and security does the ClickShare C-10 support?

The ClickShare C-10 has 1 Gbit Ethernet and Wi-Fi to IEEE 802.11 a/g/n/ac on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and the Button works up to 30 m (100 ft) from the base unit. In standalone mode it uses WPA2-PSK.

In network integration mode the ClickShare Button can authenticate with WPA2-PSK or IEEE 802.1X, which most corporate IT teams prefer. Agree the mode with IT before installation.

How many people can share on the ClickShare C-10 at once?

The ClickShare C-10 shows up to 2 sources on screen at the same time, so two people can present side by side for comparison. Any number of users can take turns.

With a touch display connected, the C-10 adds touchback, annotation and blackboarding on a 4K canvas, so presenters can mark up shared content or write on a blank board.

How is the ClickShare C-10 managed, and what warranty does it have?

The ClickShare C-10 is managed through Barco XMS Cloud, which lets IT monitor devices, update firmware and act on notifications across many rooms. The base unit draws 5 W to 10 W in operation and 24 W at most.

Barco gives 1 year of warranty as standard, extended to 5 years when the device is registered with Barco SmartCare.

What should be ready before installing a ClickShare C-10?

Before installing a ClickShare C-10, prepare a free HDMI input (or USB-C with DisplayPort 1.2 on the Gen2) on the room display, a power outlet, and a LAN port if the unit joins the corporate network.

Agree with IT whether it will run in standalone or network integration mode, including 802.1X if required, and decide how many ClickShare Buttons the room needs. The base unit is rated for 0 °C to 40 °C.
