Mobile carts and stands for displays and interactive boards

A mobile cart or stand carries a display on a wheeled floor base, so the screen can move between rooms or stand where a wall cannot take fixings. This collection holds VSYS TV carts for 37-inch to 120-inch screens with load ratings from 45 kg to 150 kg, including motorised and crank-adjusted models, plus stands made by display brands for their own interactive boards, such as Logitech, Clevertouch, OneScreen, Dahua, SMART and Microsoft.

A cart is the flexible option; a wall mount is the permanent one. If the screen will stay in one place on a solid wall, a bracket from TV & Display Wall Mounts takes less floor space. For large touch screens that teachers and teams write on, compare the boards in Interactive Panels first, then choose a stand rated for their weight.

How to choose a mobile TV cart

Load rating and VESA pattern

Check the display's weight and VESA pattern against the cart. The VSYS VTL-1042T carries 45 kg on patterns up to 600 × 400 mm, the VSYS VFS44-46TW 50 kg, and the VSYS VTLS17-46TW 70 kg. For 60-inch to 100-inch screens, the VSYS VFS44-610TW carries 100 kg and the VSYS VTLX17-610TW 120 kg on patterns up to 1000 × 600 mm, and the VSYS VTL-1035LE is rated for 150 kg.

Height adjustment: fixed, crank or motorised

Carts set the screen height in different ways. The VSYS VTLX16-69FW has four fixed positions from 1150 mm to 1525 mm. The VSYS VTLS17-46TW telescopes over 450 mm, from 1120 mm to 1570 mm, and the VTLS17H-46TW, also for 37-inch to 70-inch screens up to 70 kg, is raised with a crank handle. The VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lifts a 120 kg screen by motor from 1200 mm to 1650 mm, controlled by RF remote or buttons and certified CE, FCC, ErP and AS/NZS, which suits boards used by both seated and standing users.

Portrait rotation and shelves

Some carts rotate the screen between landscape and portrait, which suits wayfinding and retail content. The VSYS VTLS17-46TW, VTLS12-46TW and VTLS11-46TW rotate from 0° to 90° for 37-inch to 70-inch screens up to 70 kg, and the VFS44-46TW for 37-inch to 86-inch screens up to 50 kg. Most VSYS carts also have a camera shelf rated for 5 kg above or below the screen and an equipment shelf for a laptop or small media player, so a video bar can travel with the display.

Stability, mobility and cables

Base, castors and slope tests

A tall cart with a heavy screen must stay stable when it is pushed over thresholds. VSYS tests several carts, including the VTLS17-46TW, VTLX17-610TW and VTLX18H-610TW, on a 10° slope, and its strength tests run from three to four times the rated load, for example 480 kg static for the 120 kg VTLX18H-610TW. Lock the castors whenever the cart is in use.

Power and cable management

A cart needs a tidy path for power and signal cables so they do not snag while moving. The VSYS VTLS11-46TW has an enclosed compartment for a power strip, the VTLS17-46TW and VTLS17H-46TW have a pegboard storage panel, and the VTLX12-610TW routes cables through its column. Carts without a channel, such as the VTL-1035LE, run cables along the outside of the column.

Where mobile carts and stands are used

Schools and training centres move interactive boards between classrooms and halls; see Education & Training Spaces. Offices use carts to bring a display and video bar into rooms without fixed equipment, built from the kits in Video Conferencing Kits, and to set up temporary meeting spaces in Boardrooms & Meeting Rooms. Hotels and event venues in the UAE use carts to move screens between ballrooms and meeting suites, where floor finishes and door thresholds make lockable castors and a low centre of gravity important.

Installation and planning

A cart is assembled once and then moved many times, so plan where it will travel as well as where it will stand. Before ordering, check:

  • Display data: weight, VESA pattern and whether portrait use is approved by the display maker.
  • Route: door widths, lifts and thresholds between the rooms the cart will serve.
  • Height: the screen centre height for seated meetings, standing use or children's classrooms.

The VSYS range covers fixed-height, telescopic, crank and motorised carts in steel and aluminium, from 45 kg to 150 kg. VSYS strength-tests most of these carts to three or four times their rated load.

Mobile carts by screen size and load

The VSYS carts in this collection fall into three groups by screen size.

  • 37 to 86 inches, 45 kg to 70 kg: VSYS VFS44-46TW (50 kg, VESA to 600 × 400 mm, 1200 mm to 1600 mm, 4x tested) and VSYS VTLS17-46TW (70 kg, 1120 mm to 1570 mm, portrait rotation, 4x tested).
  • 55 to 100 inches, 100 kg to 120 kg: VSYS VFS44-610TW (100 kg, VESA to 1000 × 600 mm, 1200 mm to 1600 mm, 3x tested) and VSYS VTLX18H-610TW (120 kg, motorised 1200 mm to 1650 mm, 4x tested).
  • Heaviest screens, 120 kg to 150 kg: VSYS VTLX17-610TW (120 kg, telescopic 1180 mm to 1630 mm, 3x tested) and VSYS VTL-1035LE (150 kg, VESA to 1000 × 600 mm, five heights from 1140 mm to 1530 mm).

The collection also lists brand stands for specific boards, including the Logitech Rally Board 65 cart, Clevertouch CleverMobile, OneScreen and Dahua stands. CorporateAV.ae is an authorised dealer of Logitech, Clevertouch, OneScreen and Dahua in the UAE. Use Request a Project Quote with the display model and where the cart will be used.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight can a mobile TV cart hold?

The VSYS carts in this collection are rated from 45 kg to 150 kg. The VSYS VTL-1042T holds 45 kg, the VTLS17-46TW 70 kg, the VFS44-610TW 100 kg, the VTLX17-610TW and VTLX18H-610TW 120 kg, the VTLX12-610TW 140 kg and the VTL-1035LE 150 kg.

Use the display's weight from its datasheet and add any video bar or camera on the cart's shelf, which on most VSYS carts is rated for 5 kg.

Which mobile cart suits an 86-inch interactive display?

Choose a cart rated above the display's weight with a VESA range that includes its pattern. For 86-inch boards, VSYS carts for 55 to 100-inch screens fit most cases: the VSYS VTLX17-610TW holds 120 kg on patterns up to 1000 × 600 mm and telescopes over 450 mm.

Where users of different heights write on the board, the motorised VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lifts 120 kg from 1200 mm to 1650 mm.

What is the difference between a crank, telescopic and motorised TV cart?

All three change the screen height, but by different means. A telescopic cart such as the VSYS VTLS17-46TW slides and locks over a 450 mm range; the VSYS VTLS17H-46TW, for 37 to 70-inch screens up to 70 kg, is raised with a crank handle; and a motorised cart such as the VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lifts by motor with an RF remote.

Fixed-height carts, such as the VSYS VTLX16-69FW with four positions from 1150 mm to 1525 mm, are set once during assembly.

Can a mobile TV cart rotate the screen to portrait?

Yes, some can. The VSYS VTLS17-46TW, VTLS12-46TW and VTLS11-46TW rotate the screen from 0° to 90°, between landscape and portrait, for 37 to 70-inch displays up to 70 kg, and the VSYS VFS44-46TW does the same for 37 to 86-inch displays up to 50 kg.

Check that the display maker approves portrait use for the model, because some screens need a specific orientation for ventilation. Portrait carts suit wayfinding, menus and retail content.

Can a video bar or camera be mounted on a TV cart?

Yes. Most VSYS carts have a camera shelf rated for 5 kg, which holds a video bar or conference camera above or below the screen, and many also have an equipment shelf for a laptop or small computer.

The VSYS VTL-1042T, VFS44-610TW, VTLS17-46TW and VTLX17-610TW all list a 5 kg camera shelf. Check the video bar's weight and mounting kit before choosing.

Are mobile TV carts stable on ramps and uneven floors?

VSYS tests several of its carts, including the VTLS17-46TW, VTLX17-610TW and VTLX18H-610TW, on a 10° slope, and rates its carts with strength tests of three to four times the load, such as 480 kg static for the 120 kg VTLX18H-610TW.

Move carts slowly over thresholds with the screen at its lowest height, and lock the castors whenever the cart is standing.

What height range does a motorised TV cart have?

The VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lifts the screen bracket from 1200 mm to 1650 mm for 55 to 100-inch displays up to 120 kg. The VSYS VTLX16M-612FW lifts the screen from 1307 mm to 1607 mm for 60 to 110-inch displays up to 120 kg on VESA patterns up to 1200 × 600 mm.

Both are controlled by RF remote or buttons on the cart and are certified CE, FCC, ErP and AS/NZS.

Should I choose a steel or aluminium TV cart?

Both are made to carry the rated load; the difference is weight and finish. Aluminium carts such as the VSYS VFS44-46TW, VFS44-610TW and VTLX12-610TW are lighter to push and have a modern look, while steel carts such as the VSYS VTLX17-610TW and VTL-1035LE are built for the heaviest screens, up to 150 kg.

For carts that move every day, aluminium is easier to handle.

Do interactive display brands make their own stands?

Yes. This collection lists stands made by display brands for their own boards, such as the Logitech Rally Board 65 cart, the Clevertouch CleverMobile stand, OneScreen carts, Dahua whiteboard stands, SMART electric stands and Microsoft Roam stands for Surface Hub.

A brand stand is designed around that maker's board. A VSYS cart is the universal option for any display within its VESA range and load rating, from 45 kg to 150 kg.

What information is needed to choose a mobile TV cart?

Five facts decide the cart: the display model with its weight and VESA pattern; the screen height needed for seated or standing users; whether portrait use is needed; what travels with the screen, such as a video bar or laptop; and the route between rooms, including doors and thresholds.

With these, the cart can be matched, for example a VSYS VTLS17-46TW for a 65-inch display up to 70 kg that rotates to portrait.
