Professional AV mounting and installation hardware

Professional AV mounting hardware fixes displays, projectors, screens, monitors and small devices in the right position for viewers and keeps them there safely. This collection gathers the full VSYS installation range in one place: wall, ceiling and motorised mounts, mobile carts, monitor arms, soundbar brackets, a tablet kiosk stand, projector mounts and projection screens, rated from 1 kg for a tablet to 150 kg for a large display cart.

Use this page to decide where and how a device should be mounted, then go to the category for that mount type. For one screen on a wall, see TV & Display Wall Mounts; for screens that must move or stand where a wall cannot be drilled, see Mobile Carts & Stands.

How to choose mounting by location

Wall

Wall mounting is the simplest choice for a screen that stays in one place. VSYS fixed mounts sit 20 mm to 35 mm from the wall, tilting mounts angle a high screen by ±10° to ±15°, and full-motion arms extend up to 703 mm on the VSYS VS02D-696. The motorised VSYS VCM-M06 swings a screen up to 50 kg through 170° by remote.

Floor and mobile

Floor stands and carts suit glass walls, rented spaces and screens shared between rooms. VSYS carts are rated from 45 kg to 150 kg, with fixed, telescopic, crank and motorised height adjustment, and most carry a 5 kg camera shelf for a video bar. The VSYS VPAD33-01 is a lockable floor stand for 7.9 to 11-inch tablets, adjustable from 790 mm to 1190 mm high.

Ceiling

Ceiling mounting keeps the floor and walls clear, which suits atriums, airports, retail and rooms with glazed walls. The VSYS VCM-CE1546L telescopes from 1090 mm to 1690 mm for one screen up to 60 kg, the VCM-CE1046D-02 uses two poles extending from 695 mm to 1565 mm for a 70 kg screen, and the VCM-M0748DS motorised mount folds a 45 kg screen flat against the ceiling when not in use.

Load, VESA and testing

Reading a load rating

A load rating is the maximum weight of the equipment the mount carries, not including the mount itself. VSYS backs its ratings with strength tests of 2.5 to four times the rated load; the 70 kg VCM-CE1046D-02 is tested to three times its rating, the 80 kg VS01A-46F to 320 kg and the 130 kg VSVW13-610T to 2.5 times. Add accessories such as a video bar or camera to the display's weight before comparing.

VESA patterns and hole spread

The VESA pattern is the spacing of the four threaded holes on the back of a display, such as 400 × 400 mm or 600 × 400 mm. A mount lists the patterns it fits and its maximum hole spread; the VSYS VS01A-69F reaches 974 × 602 mm, the VS01XL-810T 1000 × 800 mm and the VTLX16M-612FW cart 1200 × 600 mm. Monitor arms use small patterns: 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm on the VSYS VMAE-C024WS.

Where professional mounting is used

Meeting rooms combine a wall mount or cart with a video bar bracket such as the VSYS VSSB-49, rated 15 kg, below or above the display; see Boardrooms & Meeting Rooms. Lobbies, malls and transport hubs use ceiling and back-to-back mounts for signage seen from two directions; see Digital Signage & Video Walls. Offices use monitor arms to free desk space. Many UAE buildings have glazed facades and deep false ceilings, so ceiling mounts are fixed to the slab above the ceiling tiles.

Installation and planning

Mounting hardware is chosen with the device, the building and the way the device will be used. Before ordering, check:

  • Device data: weight, VESA pattern or mounting holes, and screen size or projector size.
  • Structure: solid wall, stud spacing of 406 mm, 450 mm or 600 mm, ceiling slab, or floor.
  • Movement: fixed, tilt, swivel, height adjustment or mobility between rooms.

All products in this collection are from VSYS, whose brand page compares its families. Each VSYS product lists its rating, VESA range and adjustment, so a project can use one consistent range from wall to ceiling.

Mounting hardware by installation type

The products in this collection fall into three groups by where they are installed.

Frequently asked questions

Should a display be mounted on the wall, the ceiling or a cart?

Choose by the building and how the display is used. A wall mount suits a screen that stays in one place on a solid or stud wall; a ceiling mount suits glazed walls, atriums and signage seen from two sides; and a cart suits rented spaces and screens shared between rooms.

VSYS wall mounts in this collection carry up to 120 kg, ceiling mounts up to 70 kg per screen, and carts up to 150 kg.

What does the load rating of a mount include?

A load rating is the maximum weight of equipment the mount can carry, not including the mount itself. Add accessories such as a video bar, camera or soundbar to the display's weight before comparing.

VSYS tests its mounts to between 2.5 and four times the rated load, depending on the model. For example, the VSYS VCM-CE1046D-02 ceiling mount is rated 70 kg and tested to three times that load, and the VS01A-46F wall mount is rated 80 kg and tested to 320 kg.

What is a VESA pattern?

A VESA pattern is the spacing, in millimetres, of the four threaded holes on the back of a display or monitor, such as 400 × 400 mm. A mount fits a display when the display's pattern is in the mount's VESA list.

VSYS monitor arms use 75 × 75 and 100 × 100 mm patterns, while large-display mounts such as the VSYS VS01XL-810T reach 1000 × 800 mm.

How long should a ceiling TV mount pole be?

Choose the pole from the screen height you need below the ceiling, measured from the slab the mount fixes to. The VSYS VCM-CE1546L telescopes from 1090 mm to 1690 mm, and the VSYS VCM-CE1046D-02 double-pole mount has poles that extend from 695 mm to 1565 mm.

In rooms with false ceilings, add the void above the ceiling tiles to the drop you need.

Which ceiling mount suits double-sided signage?

A back-to-back ceiling mount suits double-sided signage: the VSYS VCM-CE1546BL holds two 43 to 86-inch screens back to back at up to 50 kg each, and the VSYS VCM-CE1546SL holds two 34 to 60-inch screens side by side at up to 40 kg each; VSYS tests both to four times the rated load.

Back-to-back mounts suit signage seen from both directions in malls, airports and stations; side-by-side mounts suit departure boards and menus.

How do I mount a video bar or soundbar with a display?

Use a bracket that attaches to the display's VESA mount, above or below the screen. The VSYS VSSB-49 holds soundbars up to 15 kg, 508 mm to 1143 mm long and 40 mm to 182 mm deep, with a profile of 77 mm to 215 mm.

On carts, most VSYS models have a 5 kg camera shelf for a video bar instead.

Is there a secure stand for a tablet or room booking kiosk?

Yes. The VSYS VPAD33-01 is a lockable floor stand for most 7.9 to 11-inch tablets, with an anti-theft locking screw and a base that can be bolted down.

Its height adjusts from 790 mm to 1190 mm, the holder tilts from +20° to -110° and rotates 360°, and cables route through the stand, which suits check-in, survey and wayfinding kiosks.

Which monitor arm suits a dual-monitor desk?

The VSYS VMAE-C024WS dual arm holds two 17 to 32-inch monitors from 2 kg to 9 kg each on VESA 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm, with 453 mm of reach per arm and a clamp or grommet base.

For one large or ultrawide screen, the VSYS VMAD-C012WG gas-spring arm holds 24 to 57-inch monitors up to 27 kg.

Are motorised TV mounts available?

Yes. The VSYS VCM-M0748DS motorised ceiling mount flips a 43 to 86-inch screen up to 45 kg down from the ceiling, with app, RF remote and voice control, and the VSYS VCM-M06 swings a 32 to 75-inch wall-mounted screen up to 50 kg through 170°.

Motorised carts such as the VSYS VTLX18H-610TW lift screens up to 120 kg from 1200 mm to 1650 mm.

What information is needed to plan AV mounting for a project?

Five facts decide the hardware: each device's model, weight and VESA pattern; the wall, ceiling or floor construction; the position and height for viewers; the movement needed; and the cable routes.

With these, one consistent range can cover the project, for example VSYS wall mounts up to 120 kg in meeting rooms and VSYS VCM-CE1546BL back-to-back ceiling mounts in the lobby.
